"Human Drivestyle" means: Making a Hard Job easier
Truckers are subject to immense pressures. They run races to deliver their loads on time, but current conditions on routes aren’t taken into account when setting deadlines, so they often have to spend more time behind the wheel than is allowed.
Plus, those who spend much of their lives in a truck cabin would like it to be a kind of home away from home, offering as much comfort as possible. When they are on the road for weeks at a time, the cabin ought to be their workplace, closet, living room, kitchen and bedroom all rolled into one.
But their reality is usually different. The situation is especially serious on international routes. Endless caravans of trucks shuttle back and forth between the new and old EU countries. The situation at rest stops — especially in Eastern Europe — is often unsatisfactory.
In fact, outside Western Europe there are only a handful of official rest stops. The risk of being attacked and robbed or even injured is increasing. Back pain, caused by constant sitting, is another problem that many drivers are confronted with. This too is a consequence of inadequate opportunities to rest and recuperate.
